My Journey
I am a senior software engineer with Sogeti, which is based out of Des Moines, Iowa. I specialize in .net frameworks, C#, VB, Java, SQL, API's, back-end processing, and everything digital. I also have experience doing full-stack development using Angular and/or React as well as Blazor and Windows Forms. Currently and over the past several years my development has brought me to the cloud in both Azure and AWS. Using the DevOps boards and workflows, leveraging the CI/CD pipelines and ubiquitous services available, push out and maintain the applications I create.
I am a huge fan of science and technology. I love to learn about the brain/mind and how consciousness works as well as computer AI. I am a consummate reader, listener of audio, or video for consumption of information and learning. I also love fitness and weight training/power lifting, including bodybuilding and strength meets. I follow MMA, Jujitsu and boxing, books, audio books, podcasts, everything science including neuroscience, astrophysics, philosophy, as well as sci-fi, and fantasy, just to mention a few! And this is the short list of my interests, there are really too many to call out (too many that I have to be mindful as to where I invest my time). I am also a Father (6 kids) and Husband, which can further complicate my eclectic schedule. But I love it all and wouldn't change a thing.
